The U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) is the oldest federal law enforcement agency, and we enforce laws and investigate crimes involving the U.S. mail. U.S. Postal Inspectors are federal law enforcement officers who carry firearms, make arrests, execute federal search warrants and serve subpoenas.
