Informed by analysis methodologies and applied research, the University of Ottawa’s Information Integrity Lab analyses misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation. Our efforts cover their drivers and impacts whether psychological, socio-economic, commercial, political or national security driven. The lab develops innovative tools and methods for detecting and assessing information distortion, while also producing applied research and resources to counter its harmful effects. In the exercise of its mission, the Lab builds broad strategic partnerships and increases public awareness, critical understanding and digital media literacy.
