The Swiss Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) is responsible for the construction, maintenance and operation of the motorway/national roads network, and for the licensing of drivers and registration of vehicles. FEDRO focuses on securing sustainable and safe mobility on the country’s roads. It is a unit of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC).
