As manufacturing and process sites increase the digitisation of their operations and with Industry 4.0 becoming a reality, there is a noticeable shift in the pace of technology change. Even with the cloud of uncertainty hanging over global trade, automation solutions and predictive insights are still sought after. The goals of our audience, however, remain the same - to keep their plants and systems running efficiently and safely, minimise downtime and increase productivity. The introduction of ever more innovative solutions and immersive technologies look set to change the way that engineers work. With these innovations coming thick and fast, our role therefore at CEE, to inform and educate our senior engineers about these developments and offer insight with real-life situations, is even more important. The vulnerability resides in the `ImageController`, which fails to restrict the execution of JavaScript code when an image is loaded by the user's browser. This vulnerability can lead to the execution of malicious code in the context of other users' sessions, potentially compromising their accounts and allowing unauthorized actions.
