Healthcare services provider Welltok suffered from a data breach that impacted nearly 8.5 million patients in the U.S. The compromised information includes patient data, including full names, email addresses, physical addresses, and telephone numbers. For some of the impacted individuals, threat actors also gained access to Social Security Numbers (SSNs), Medicare/Medicaid ID numbers, and certain Health Insurance information. They've implemented security measures as a precautionary step going forward.

The Vermont Office of the Attorney General reported a data breach involving Welltok, Inc. on December 22, 2023. The breach, stemming from a compromise of their MOVEit Transfer server, occurred on May 30, 2023, potentially affecting personal information like names of individuals, with approximately 54 Rhode Island residents specifically impacted.
