Dermatologists of Birmingham notified 86,414 people of a March 2025 data breach that compromised personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, medical diagnoses and treatments, and health insurance info. The breach was discovered on March 7, 2025, and the review of the impacted information was completed on May 15, 2025. Ransomware gang Qilin claimed responsibility for the attack, stating it stole 141 GB of data. The company is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and identity theft restoration through TransUnion.
