Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) was recently targeted in a cyber attack which paralysed its internal services and forced all computer systems to be disconnected, leaving all students without email and other services. However, the centre worked to resolve the incident and informed users through its social media profiles. It also recommended disconnecting all services linked to the UAB, including cloud services, to prevent the possible spread of the ransomware infection.
