I took my love of photography to a technical level during my studies at Arizona State University, and I graduated from the Herberger Institute with a BFA in Fine Art Photography in 2005. As the photography editor for the State Press, ASU’s newspaper, I developed a keen eye for editorial photographs and the skills to become a professional photographer. When my mom passed away, the importance of tangible memory became a strong influence in my work. I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to helping others preserve their personal histories to pass from generation to generation, and I started This is Life Photography in 2007. My beautiful daughter, Madison, and my amazing partner, Steve, support and inspire me in the pursuit of my passion. I want to tell your unique story in pictures. I shoot on location, specializing in the use of natural light. With emphasis on the beauty of personal expression, I create images that speak to the individual character of each client.
