The Club aims to embody the values that St Andrews' former Lord Rector lived by: an eagerness to learn leading to continual self-improvement, entrepreneurship and philanthropy. Throughout Andrew Carnegie's life, he strived to create institutions for the benefit of mankind. The Carnegie Club of St Andrews seeks to provide a platform through which the leaders of today can debate contentious issues and pass on their experience and wisdom to the leaders of tomorrow. Throughout the academic year, The Carnegie Club of St Andrews holds dinner debates, lectures, panel discussions and networking events that allow students of the University to make the intellectual and personal connections to succeed with their academic and career ambitions.
