Regulatory filings revealed the breach was reported to the California Attorney General on May 28 and the Texas Attorney General on May 29, with affected individuals notified via U.S. Mail. In response, Texas Capital Bank is offering a complimentary 24-month membership to Experian IdentityWorks, a service providing credit monitoring, dark web surveillance, identity restoration support, and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance underwritten by American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida. Affected customers can enroll using an activation code from their notification letter by September 30, 2026, with no credit card required. Phone support is also available for those preferring offline enrollment. Identity restoration assistance, including credit dispute resolution and fraud investigation, will remain accessible for two years from the notification date.
