On September 29, 2022, the Washington State Office of the Attorney General reported that Swissport North America, Inc. experienced a ransomware attack affecting 1,131 Washington residents. The attack took place between February 1 and February 3, 2022, resulting in the unauthorized access and encryption of several Swissport networks and servers, compromising various types of personal information including names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, and medical information.
