The incident compromised the name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license number, direct deposit information, or name change information. State Bar of Georgia offered current and former employees and members complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Transunion and identity protection services including credit bureau monitoring and $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance.

The network, website, and email system of the State Bar of Georgia were affected by a cyber attack in May 2022. The organization deployed an endpoint detection and response system throughout the network and hired a cybersecurity firm to investigate the incident. The website even provided a list of phone numbers people can call in order to access services.
