An unauthorized party was able to access confidential information that was stored on the computer networks of Snap Finance, LLC. The breach resulted in the consumers’ names, addresses, Social Security numbers, government-issued identification numbers and financial account information. Snap reviewed the affected files to determine what information was compromised and sent out data breach letters to all affected parties.

The Maine Attorney General's Office reported a data breach involving Snap Finance LLC and Snap RTO LLC on December 2, 2022. The breach occurred between June 23, 2022, and September 8, 2022, potentially affecting the personal information of nine Maine residents, including names, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, and driver's license numbers.
