Service Employees International Union was targeted in a cyberattack that impacted the sensitive information of more than 230,487 workers in the USA. Service Employees International Union, Local 32BJ (“32BJ SEIU”) is a union primarily consisting of cleaners, property maintenance workers, doormen, security officers, window cleaners, building engineers, and school and food service workers from different parts of the USA. An unauthorized party acquired access to its systems and accessed data containing certain employee and member information. SEIU immediately secured its networks and informed the impacted members about the breach.
