Scitech opened its doors in 1988 as an answer to the question: “If our future depends on science and technology, how can we get people inspired?” As a charity, our purpose is to inspire engagement by all Western Australians in science, technology, engineering and maths. From the Scitech Discovery Centre, our interactive science museum in West Perth, to our Statewide team who take science experiences to primary schools and communities in remote and rural Western Australia, to our Learning Futures team providing professional learning programs for teachers in maths and digital technologies, to our digital offerings including podcasts and at home resources, we aim to bring engaging and exciting science experiences to children and adults alike, igniting a lifelong curiosity in the process.

Serving as a hub for the appreciation of and participation in contemporary visual art, Art league Houston is dedicated to ensuring its exhibition, educational, and community-based programming is inclusive and reflective of Houston’s diverse community. Our programs engage a wide range of individuals and are driven by a commitment to accessibility, lifelong learning, and service to the greater Houston community. ALH presents contemporary art by local, regional, national, and international artists—both emerging and established—across its four onsite galleries. Our exhibitions address social, political, and cultural issues relevant to Houston’s diverse communities while connecting to current trends in contemporary art. Selected through open calls, artist advisory board input, and a strong curatorial vision, our exhibitions prioritize diversity, inclusivity, and civic engagement, amplifying marginalized voices and encouraging community dialogue. Our Awards program highlights and archives often-overlooked Contemporary Texas art history. The Art League School provides adults with lifelong learning opportunities in a variety of mediums, including painting, ceramics, jewelry, and more. Established in 1968, the school serves over 1,200 students annually through studio art classes and workshops led by professional artists. Small class sizes and a range of experience levels ensure personalized attention. In 2022, ALH launched the Flexible Access initiative, offering pay-what-you-can rates to increase access to arts education. ALH's Community Engagement programs focus on artist-led projects that address critical social issues. Key initiatives include ArtBound! for K–12 schools, Summer Intensive for Teens, Healing Art for adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities, and Creative Healing for hospital staff. These programs reflect our commitment to making art accessible to all and enhancing Houston’s cultural fabric.

Description

ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-9 and 6.9.13-34, there is a vulnerability in ImageMagick’s Magick++ layer that manifests when Options::fontFamily is invoked with an empty string. Clearing a font family calls RelinquishMagickMemory on _drawInfo->font, freeing the font string but leaving _drawInfo->font pointing to freed memory while _drawInfo->family is set to that (now-invalid) pointer. Any later cleanup or reuse of _drawInfo->font re-frees or dereferences dangling memory. DestroyDrawInfo and other setters (Options::font, Image::font) assume _drawInfo->font remains valid, so destruction or subsequent updates trigger crashes or heap corruption. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.2-9 and 6.9.13-34.
