SaludTotal, a health-promoting entity in Colombia was targeted by the Vice Society Ransomware group in May 2022. The attack resulted in the deactivation of virtual service channels for Virtual Office, Point of Care at Home, Mobile Application, and WhatsApp COVID-19 and Pablo, the virtual advisor. The Vice Society dumped files stolen from the SaludTotal that revealed folders for different institutions providing services (IPS) including spitals, clinics, and other health centres along with the internal organizational files such as invoices, purchase orders, and routine business records and patient records.
