Sentara and Riverside Health Systems are also involved. The compromised information contained names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and other account information. The CCC began informing its business partners as soon as possible and collaborated with them to tell those whose information was compromised. According to Credit Control Corporation, the theft affects accounts for local hospitals and doctors' offices that handle debt collection. The agency claims that an investigation was quickly launched after becoming aware of strange activities.
