The government of Nova Scotia and other organisations utilise the MOVEIt file transfer system to send huge files, and this system was affected by a cybersecurity compromise. One of the businesses whose files were affected is the Region of Queens Municipality. The intrusion affected roughly 17,500 water utility and municipal tax account data. The Province of Nova Scotia and the Region of Queens Municipality have reviewed and evaluated the files. Account numbers, names, addresses, payment amounts, and account balances were among the data compromised, along with information about tax accounts and the municipal water utility system. The files did not contain any personal, delicate, or financial information, thus the breach did not disclose it.
