Lithuanian state and private institutions were targeted in a denial-of-service (DDOS) cyberattack by the Russian hacker group Killnet over the recent ban by Vilnius on the transit of some sanctioned goods to the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. The hackers targeted secure networks used by Lithuanian state institutions. Transportation, energy, and financial sectors are still at high risk as Lithuania tries to restore the network.
