Mekong Enterprise Fund II (MEFII) divested the entire remaining shares in MobileWorld, Vietnam's leading retailer covering electronics, mobile devices, mini-market stores and e-commerce, at a 57x return multiple in USD. The IRR of the investment is 61.1 per cent. This has become one of the most successful investments in the history of Asia Private Equity. MEFII originally invested in MobileWorld in 2007 when the company had 7 stores and a $10 million company valuation. Now, MobileWorld has become the go-to retailer for Vietnamese people.
