Consumers' protected health information was accessed unlawfully as a result of the event, according to the company's official submission with the HHS-OCR. Lawrence General started notifying the 76,371 people affected by the current data security incident with data breach notification letters after confirming that customer data had been exposed. As a result of the recent data security incident, Lawrence General Hospital mailed data breach notifications to every person whose information was exposed.
