State and local law enforcement officials are looking into a possible data breach on the website for Martin County. Before someone alerted the county legal department, authorities were unaware that the 3-year-old material held offsite had been stolen. The caller, according to spokeswoman Martha Ann Kneiss, didn't threaten the county or demand a ransom. According to Kneiss, the allegedly stolen information is not actionable and poses little harm to the county. She was still unable to say specifically what data or files were compromised.
