Unknown individuals attempted a major attack to obtain access to the Hochsauerland Clinic's IT system. The attack was swiftly identified and stopped thanks to automated security mechanisms, Klinikum Hochsauerland reported. All web-based programmes were originally suspended for security reasons, and the hospital's IT system was unplugged from the Internet. The clinic made it clear that the incident had no impact on internal communication systems, particularly medical IT systems, and that they would continue to function.
