Jason’s Deli has fallen victim to a point-of-sale (POS) breach. 165 stores across 15 states were affected. Criminal hackers accessed full track data from payment cards’ magnetic stripes. Magnetic stripes include the cardholder’s name, payment card number, expiration date, cardholder verification value and service code.

The California Office of the Attorney General reported a data breach involving Deli Management, Inc. (doing business as Jason’s Deli, Inc.) on January 11, 2018. The breach occurred on June 8, 2017, due to the deployment of RAM-scraping malware on point-of-sale terminals at various locations, potentially affecting approximately 2 million unique payment card numbers.
