HumanEdge Inc. Discloses Data Breach Affecting Over 2,200 Individuals Across Three States HumanEdge Inc., a White Plains, New York-based staffing and recruiting firm, reported a data breach exposing sensitive personal information of 2,222 individuals across Texas (1,452), Massachusetts (655), and Vermont (115). The company, which specializes in contract, direct-hire, and freelance placements, disclosed the incident to the California Attorney General on September 2, 2026. The breach was first detected on March 18, 2026, when HumanEdge identified suspicious activity within its network. An investigation, conducted with cybersecurity experts, revealed unauthorized access to or acquisition of certain files. A comprehensive review, completed on August 13, 2026, determined the exposed data included names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license and government-issued ID numbers, financial details (such as account and payment card numbers), medical records, and health insurance information. In response, HumanEdge is offering affected individuals free identity protection services through IDX, with enrollment available until December 1, 2026. A dedicated call center (1-866-200-0939) has also been established for inquiries, operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
