The Babuk ransomware group targeted the internal networks of the Houston Rockets in April 2021. The group had apparently stolen 500 gigabytes of Rockets data before the internal security tools blocked unauthorized access. The stolen data includes internal business information like contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and financial data. The group is threatening the Rockets to pay the ransom or they would publish the data.
