Homewood health was targeted by a cyber attack on July 2021. The personal information of 100 employees has already been posted online as a "teaser" or sample of the kind of material the hackers possess, which they provide to attempt and assess the legitimacy and usefulness of the rest of the data bundle. Hackers said that some of the data will be sold and the remainder would be made public. Homewood claims it has gotten in touch with the police and employed its own detectives and specialists to help them.
