Genesis Health Care, Inc. suffered a data breach incident after it discovered that an unauthorized party had access to its computer system for a period of nearly three months. The breach involved consumers’ Social Security numbers, financial account information, protected health information or driver’s license numbers or state identification numbers. Genesis Health Care sent out data breach letters to all affected parties.
