European University of Applied Sciences Rhein/Erft was not at fault for becoming the target of a hacking attack . The scope of the attack and its history are being looked into by internal experts at the EUFH with the assistance of outside consultants. The extent and nature of the hacking attack are presently unknown. The responsible data protection authorities, the police, and the university collaborate closely. The institution has temporarily discontinued a significant portion of its internal internet-based services due to security concerns. Access is still available through phone and mail.
