Ethos Group recently suffered a data breach that impacted the security of consumer information stored on its computer systems. The incident affected consumers’ names and Social Security numbers, financial account information, protected health information or government identification numbers, taxpayer identification number; passport number; Military identification card numbers and Other government identification numbers. Ethos reviewed the files that were accessed and then sent out data breach letters to all affected parties

The Maine Office of the Attorney General reported a data breach involving Ethos Group, Inc. on November 2, 2022. The breach occurred between July 30, 2022, and July 31, 2022, and was discovered on October 24, 2022, potentially affecting 822,723 individuals, with 129 Maine residents specifically notified. The type of information compromised included driver's license numbers.
