Elevate Services, Inc. suffered a data breach after the company experienced a ransomware attack that leaked confidential information belonging to certain consumers. The incident resulted in an unauthorized party gaining access to consumers’ names, birthdates, Social Security numbers, addresses, claims information, medical history and compensation amounts. Elevate secured its system, notified law enforcement and launched an investigation and sent out data breach notification letters to all individuals.

The Vermont Office of the Attorney General reported on March 2, 2023, that Elevate Services, Inc. experienced a data breach involving unauthorized access to their systems between March 5, 2022, and March 15, 2022. The breach potentially affected a variety of personal information, including names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and medical histories, although the specific files accessed remain undetermined.
