Temporary Staffing Service (TSS) provides the veteran or military family member invaluable on-the-job experience with our agency, WA State’s Department of Social and Health Services. This is continuing to be a very successful service for DSHS and our military community; a way to gain civilian job skills & work experience in public service, a chance to network with hiring managers, and a foot-in-the-door to jobs with the State of WA. All TSS jobs begin as non-perm for a specified time, although many TSS hires have been converted to a permanent DSHS job based on need, continuing interest, and performance.
