District School Board of Niagara suffered from a security breach in July 2017 that exposed 800 student data. only students at Welland Centennial were affected by the error. Parents of students at Welland Centennial Secondary School were urged to call and leave a message at 905-641-2929, ext. 54117 if they discovered someone else's private student information concealed within envelopes with their child's report cards. They used an automated system to call the homes of all 800 students and took steps to ensure that this will not happen again.
