The Department of Ocean Engineering began in fall 2015 with the merging of two related programs at Texas A&M – Ocean Engineering in College Station and Offshore and Coastal Systems Engineering in Galveston. This merger brought together the world-class infrastructure and resources of the large engineering campus at College Station with the strategic waterfront location and assets of Galveston.
