Canadian car-sharing company, Communauto was the target of a cyber attack. Access to a number of servers has been locked, and data has been encrypted. The attack exposed user passwords and credit card numbers, names, street addresses, and email addresses, driver’s license information. The attack disturbed so many activities and delayed the management of accounts payable and invoicing. The company has hired an IT security firm to investigate the breach and took preventive steps to stay protected against these attacks.
