Colorado Springs Utilities suffered a data breach incident which affected its customer information. The breach resulted after customer data stored by one of the company's subcontractors was accessed by an unauthorized party. The compromised information included customer names and addresses, account numbers, and in most cases, phone numbers and email addresses. However, no sensitive financial data, like social security numbers or cred card information.
