Midwest City notified its residents of incident that affected numerous municipalities. It reports that about 2,300 customers were potentially affected by a breach involving software needed to use Click2Gov. The notifications came from cities across the United States, which reported both data breaches and the installation of cryptocurrency miners. The attackers didn’t break in through Click2Gov but through a third-party software.
