The newspaper carries quality content across its various editorial pillars including: news, business, sport, lifestyle and entertainment, motoring, horse racing, gaming and auctions. We bring our readers the most important daily happenings, both locally and internationally in a concise, easy-to-read tabloid format. Our supplements carry a large variety of interesting subjects such as sport, economics, politics, entertainment and leisure, motoring, health and horse racing. In response to a huge gap in the market for local soccer news, The Citizen launched a new soccer supplement, Phakaaathi, on the 22nd July 2014. Phakaaathi is edited by Jonty Mark a well-known sports writer who specialises in soccer and is published as a pull-out supplement every Tuesday.
