The incident was detected in late January 2026 when the company identified suspicious activity. An investigation, conducted with third-party cybersecurity experts, confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed and exfiltrated certain files during the same period. The exposed data includes highly sensitive personal information, such as names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license and passport numbers, military or federal identification details, visa and immigration records, and health or medical information. The breach was officially reported to the New Hampshire Attorney General on May 8, 2026, with notifications sent to affected individuals on the same day. The total number of impacted individuals across the U.S. remains undisclosed. In response, Champion Healthcare is offering affected individuals a complimentary 24-month membership to Experian IdentityWorks, which includes credit monitoring, identity restoration support, and $1 million in identity theft insurance. Enrollment is available until August 31, 2026, via an activation code provided in notification letters. Identity restoration support will extend beyond the membership period through Experian’s ExtendCare program.
