The incident exposed a wide range of sensitive personal and financial information. The breach compromised personally identifiable information (PII), including names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license and government-issued ID numbers, dates of birth, and financial details such as bank account and credit/debit card numbers. Additionally, protected health information (PHI), including medical records and health insurance data, was exposed. Beusa Energy began notifying affected individuals via written letters on June 10, 2026. The company has set up a dedicated call center for inquiries, operating Monday through Friday during Eastern Time business hours. As part of its response, Beusa Energy offered credit monitoring services, though individuals with a security freeze on their credit files were advised to temporarily lift it for enrollment. The notice also recommended that affected individuals review explanation of benefits statements from health insurers and request a year-to-date report of all services paid on their behalf.
