Each year the company serves thousands through its arts community engagement and education programs. Backhausdance is a member of the Segerstom Center for the Arts education program and is also a part of the Lincoln Center Aesthetic Education Program through the McCallum Theatre Institute in Palm Desert. Each year Backhausdance engages over 100 students annually at its Summer Intensives held at Chapman University, a life-changing experience for pre-professional and professional dancers.
