The Archdiocese of St. Louis' websites were disabled by a ransomware attack, but no data was lost as a result, the archdiocese told CNA. In reaction to the hack, a number of sites connected to the archdiocese have been taken offline. The small number of impacted sites, which included their own, had been taken offline, the Archdiocese of St. Louis informed Catholics. Their hosting firm pulled down their entire system after further examination and out of an abundance of caution to make sure they weren't affected.
