We are the oldest foundation in North Carolina, and we are one of the oldest community foundations in the country.

Our mission is to unleash the strength, power, and ingenuity of urban youth. We couple athletic training with mentorship, academic advancement, and employment opportunities. At Level Ground, we are passionate about our students' growth on and off the mat. We've gotten kids off the streets, hooked up with meaningful jobs, and into college. Join us to empower young people to fight for - and seize - their dreams. Accomplishments to date: -In 20 months, grew from 3 to 110 students served weekly across 3 sites through holistic programming -To date, 100% of seniors have entered college or meaningful employment -Provided 16 youth with internship, employment, or workforce development opportunities this year
