Write Around Portland
Change lives through the power of writing. Write Around Portland holds free creative writing workshops for adults and youth in hospitals, shelters, senior centers, prisons, schools and treatment facilities. We organize public readings where participants share their writing with each other and the greater community, and we publish anthologies of participants' work sold at local bookstores. Write Around Portland also offers fee-based writing workshops for new and seasoned writers who want to participate in our workshops while supporting the communities we primarily serve. We can also bring writing workshops to various workplaces and groups for a fee. Our workshops have been the medium for staff retreats, team-building seminars, and developing interpersonal and communication skills.
