AFCEA, Huntsville Chapter members are spread across government, industry and academia. Our events provide well attended forums for government, industry and academic partners to network and exchange ideas and information. Our events include luncheons and special topic symposiums. Luncheons are open to the public and focus on communications, electronics, signal processing and cyber technical subjects related to the Defense, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, the FBI and Home Land Defense activities performed on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama and the North Alabama and South Tennessee area. Our symposiums are usually co-sponsored with other non profit organizations such as the Association of Old Crows, the Air Force Association Huntsville and the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems (AUVSI) Pathfinder Chapter. Our symposiums are usually classified and limit attendance to U.S. citizens with appropriate security clearances. AFCEA Huntsville is organized as non-profit organization and files annual Tax Returns with the IRS. The funds we raise are used for operational expenses, to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) activities of local schools and universities and college scholarships leading to STEM related careers. We actively seek donations from organizations and individuals to support the activities of the Chapter.

Description

SIPGO is a library for writing SIP services in the GO language. Starting in version 0.3.0 and prior to version 1.0.0-alpha-1, a nil pointer dereference vulnerability is in the SIPGO library's `NewResponseFromRequest` function that affects all normal SIP operations. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to crash any SIP application by sending a single malformed SIP request without a To header. The vulnerability occurs when SIP message parsing succeeds for a request missing the To header, but the response creation code assumes the To header exists without proper nil checks. This affects routine operations like call setup, authentication, and message handling - not just error cases. This vulnerability affects all SIP applications using the sipgo library, not just specific configurations or edge cases, as long as they make use of the `NewResponseFromRequest` function. Version 1.0.0-alpha-1 contains a patch for the issue.
