She founded Waxwing with fifteen years’ experience in the book publishing industry, first as a freelance book editor and then as editorial manager at New Harbinger Publications, publisher of trade and professional books in psychology, health, self-help, and spirituality, including the New York Times bestseller Untethered Soul. Jess has edited hundreds of nonfiction books covering a wide range of topics, including mindfulness, yoga, parenting, relationships, memoir, health, diet and nutrition, holistic healing, business and career, behavioral science, psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and third-wave behavioral therapies such as acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.
