Founded in 2002 by Arian Moayed and Tom Ridgely, Waterwell is dedicated to the creation of new work and bold reinterpretation of classics. The company’s special blend of music, theater and social dialog has been nominated for three IT awards, a Drama Desk, a New York Magazine Culture Award and Village Voice Best of NYC. Recent work includes the resurrection of lost WWII-era Frank Loesser musicals Blueprint Specials, featuring civilian and military performers onboard the former USS Intrepid (Public Theater’s Under the Radar Festival); as well as a dual-language (English/Farsi) adaptation of Hamlet performed by a cast predominantly of Middle Eastern and South Asian actors. The company also believes strongly in the power of the arts in youth development. Its acclaimed educational arm, the Waterwell Drama Program, has delivered – in partnership with the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) – top-quality, year-round, in-school theater training to over 200 NYC public school students annually since 2010. Partnerships with Manhattan Youth, the New School and others provide rich artmaking experiences to dozens of additional students each year, from middle school through college.

Last Update: 2025-12-10

Now entering its 17th season, the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas (CCGD) is one of America’s largest and most prestigious youth choral programs. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Cynthia Nott, CCGD pursues its mission of "providing Dallas-area young people the experience of artistry and excellence through choral singing in a group that reflects the area's diversity." CCGD’s nine choral ensembles serve nearly 500 children and teens in grades 4–12, drawn from 43 communities throughout a 33-mile radius of downtown Dallas. Approximately 3,900 patrons annually attend CCGD’s season concerts, held at Dallas’ world-class Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Through ancillary regional performances, national and international tours, and community engagement initiatives—including Outreach Chorus Tours, Summer Singing Camp, and learning partnerships with the Dallas Independent School District—CCGD extends the enrichment of choral music to up to 24,000 additional children, youth, and adults each year. Heralded by acclaimed conductor Jaap van Zweden as “one of the best [children’s choruses] I’ve ever heard,” CCGD enjoys a reputation for artistic excellence within the classical music community as well as among audiences at home and abroad.
