Vishal started out to become an engineer, but a heightened awareness of the visual art diverted his attention to the camera and its versatility. Ridden by this passion, he decided to drop out of engineering college to pursue his dream and completed his graphic designing from a Canadian college. Having worked with reputed Design Houses and Advertising agencies. Soon he shifted his focus towards photography. He started off by assisting renowned photographer in India for over 2 years, soon after which he travelled to Paris and Hamburg to acquire more knowledge with respect to the visual medium after which he decided to start off on his own. Aspiring to carve a niche in the photography industry, he is well versed in fashion, advertising and editorial work. Vishal describes his work as the constant need to move and evolve. A true follower of celebrated top celebrity photographer Richard Avedon & Mario Testino. Vishal prefers to eschew the ‘pretty’ and bring out the stark underlying ‘reality’ of the subject. Boasting a background in graphic Designing, his work has often been considered provocative yet unique. His client and publication credits currently includes International & Indian magazines such as ELLE, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Grazia, Chew, Swank Glossy to name a few. His work has also appeared in the likes of advertising agencies such as Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, BBH, and many more. Current international work includes – Oriflame, Poland’s Next Top Model, Lux, Adweek, etc. An alchemist behind the lens, offering his most comprehensive art featuring top models, designers, advertising campaigns, fashion editorials, catalogs, etc. He has exhibited his work in the prestigious D & AD awards (London), The World Press Photo, the Dubai Media City (IBDA), Lalit Kala Academy etc. Ventured out on his own 8 years ago in the ever demanding modern fashion world, Vishal's passion for visual beauty and perfection continues to impress many today.
