Vermont Asylum Assistance Project (VAAP)
The Vermont Asylum Assistance Project (VAAP) is a resource center that recruits, trains, mentors, and supports attorneys and lay advocates to provide free immigration services to humanitarian status-seekers in Vermont. We aim to improve access to legal knowledge and services; serve as a liaison between the state’s community support organizations and pro bono attorneys; advocate for state policies that promote the rights of asylum-seekers; and educate and serve as a resource to attorneys who provide pro bono humanitarian immigration legal services. Make a difference by helping us to provide asylum support and promote the rights of Vermont’s immigrant communities.
