The National Lighthouse Museum expects to attract many of the two million tourists yearly, who take the Staten Island Ferry, which docks a short distance from the old depot. In addition, plans are to introduce the maritime world to classes of children through regular class trips - teaching physics, history, geography, geometry and economics in a unique and exciting way. The US coastlines and its environs have over 600 lighthouses of the 15,000 worldwide and due to modern navigational technology, many are endangered of being lost, decommissioned and abandoned...preservation is key! In the past, merchants and seamen frustrated with shipwrecks due to the inability to navigate US coastlines requested more lighthouses be built - basically lighthouses were like the superhighways of the 1800's, allowing ships to navigate up and down the coasts and harbors with the guiding lights of the lighthouses, avoiding navigational disasters. Description

ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to 7.1.2-9 and 6.9.13-34, there is a vulnerability in ImageMagick’s Magick++ layer that manifests when Options::fontFamily is invoked with an empty string. Clearing a font family calls RelinquishMagickMemory on _drawInfo->font, freeing the font string but leaving _drawInfo->font pointing to freed memory while _drawInfo->family is set to that (now-invalid) pointer. Any later cleanup or reuse of _drawInfo->font re-frees or dereferences dangling memory. DestroyDrawInfo and other setters (Options::font, Image::font) assume _drawInfo->font remains valid, so destruction or subsequent updates trigger crashes or heap corruption. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.2-9 and 6.9.13-34.
